Washed dark wash jeans with a sweatshirt and the white screen printing is now tinged blue - help?

  • I was in a rush to wash a particular outfit for the next day so I washed my new pink hoody sweatshirt with white screen printing in my front load HE washer with a pair of dark denim jeans, but I thought it would be fine as I used cold water and threw in a Shout sheet to catch colors so they don't run. I dried both on medium and when I woke up to check the dryer to see if they were done I saw the pale blue staining on the white screen printing. Is there anything to try to remove this staining? Even if it's a long shot, are there any tips that could maybe work? I heard about RIT but it's not a white shirt, it's bright pink, I just want to remove blue from the white screen printing if it's possible. It was dried but not on high or normal heat, I dried it on medium. I don't know if that makes it less bad but probably not. Please help. I really love this sweatshirt and I'm just not the best laundry washer so I didn't realize this was a bad idea. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

    Try spraying some Shout on it and letting it sit for a few hours before washing again. If that doesn't work, rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad might take some of the dye out.

Once it's dried, there's not a lot you can do, heat, even low sets in a stain, try a detergent with color safe bleach and see if that helps. Good Luck

Try scrubbing just the screen print with a toothbrush and detergent. I would NOT use anything with bleach in it. Good luck
