What are the basic health concerns about mold and mildew?

I have some questions about Mold?

  • I have some questions about Mold? Can yoyu please help me and answer some questions.....I think I should stop worrying, but help me put my mind at rest. :o) I have just noticed a lot of black in the corner of my shower room. Not the shower itself, on the other side of the room in the corner. Not sure how long it has been there, few weeks maybe. Bad I know... Anyway, my questions 1. Is it more likely to be mold or mildew? Whats the difference 2. As I said, it's black - the worst kind, right?. How long would I have to be around mold before it affected me - healthwise? - roughly? 3. The shower room is connected to my room by a sliding door on rollers. Not the best door as it lets a lot of air in. If I keep this door closed, will the mold still make me ill? 4. if the mold does start to make me ill, but then I get rid of it, will I continue to be ill temproary or permenant.....ie... will my state of health get better......
