How do I know if I have bed bugs?

  • Okay last week was spring break and my brother went to Florida and stayed in some hotel. I stayed home with my parents. On the same day my brother came back from Florida, the back of my ear itched really bad and it welted up and everything and I had two tiny bites on my neck. Later that day my mom was itching everywhere and she had to take Benadryl for it. My dad said maybe my brother brought home bed bugs from the hotel he stayed at in Florida, but my brother said he hasn't been itching or seen any bugs or anything. So I kind of forgot about it and now I'm back at college in my dorm. I didn't get any bites last night but tonight I laid down around midnight and maybe half an hour later my stomach was itching. I got up and turned the light on and there was like 6 little tiny bumps, and one slightly larger bump. These are pretty much gone now (4 hours later). I didn't see anything on my bed. I checked my mattress (or what i could, it's very heavy and i had to be quiet b/c it was 2 AM and my suitemate was sleeping), and I didn't see anything. I have a mattress protector on there that's been on since I moved in. But I eat in bed a lot (i do brush the crumbs off) and don't wash the sheets regularly. Since I've been sitting in this chair all night I've gotten several other bites too, but none of them itch anymore and none of them are in a row, they're just single bites/bumps. I feel like I would have seen one by now though. Could I have bed bugs? I need to know how to find out because I can't sleep at all. I can't relax. It's almost 5 AM now and I haven't been to sleep and don't plan on going to sleep. I'm going back home this weekend and I certainly don't wanna bring any bugs with me..how can i find out if it's bed bugs?

    You'll know if you have bed bugs by looking for these signs; Black marks or blood spots on mattress or bedding, small black spots that don't flake off but will smear if wiped with a rag. Their eggs are very tiny off white and elongated oval shaped.

The bugs will bite and suck blood when you usually asleep. their attracted to your body heat.. My friend had them and had to have someone come in to spray.. they will leave little red bumps that itch and burn. sweep your mattresses and anything you have to help eliminate their eggs. you'll notice black spots under your mattress from them..

In the morning search the net for "bedbug smelling k-9" use google, yahoo sucks. You can dick around searching and searching and searching and find nothing!!!!! Then get bit that same night!!! It may cost you $100 but just pay it. Don't be sheisty. I saw the same thing happen on Infested on NatGeo. Or: Just stop eating in bed.... Those "bites" you feel are just crumbs....
