How to keep a house clean?

• I am fresh out of the nest, in college, and I have an apartment. Growing up my mother taught me how to clean, like- laundry, scrubbing a toliet, washing dishes...etc. But theres SOOO much more than the simple household chores. I hate walking around my apartment now, b/c theres so much that needs to be done (deeeeeep cleaning), and i don't even know where to begin. I'm 20 years old, and my papa just bought me a house. I am terrified that I won't be able to keep such a big house cleaned right. What are some tips and pointers I should do to keep my house clean? I'm not saying i'm dirty, but I don't know where to begin or how often I should clean the shower, clean the walls, clean the baseboards on the walls, scrub the floor, clean around the toliet, and dust! Help!

  there is a wonderful website - www.flylady.net She had great lists and even sends out e-mail reminders. Try it. I'm married with a large house, a full-time job and 3 kids and it does help
