How do I make sure that I don't have bed bugs and how can I get rid of them if I find that we have them?

Well, we've been staying at these trifling, low star motels and I've realized that me and my sister have been bitten by bed bugs, which freaked me out greatly. -- However, I want to know how I can make sure that we really didn't bring home any bed bugs. As soon as I get home I bathe before I go to bed and I throw my clothes instantly in the washer. So what can I do, and if we do have them, God forbid, how can we get rid of them successfully?

Ooh, that's a scary situation. I think I caught some one time when I went to a hotel, and my bumps were red cause I heard they bite. I itched really bad. But I'm so sorry, I don't know how to get rid of bed bugs, if I did I would so help you on this. I heard that they were hard to get rid of. If you are just receiving bumps on your skin and it's been a short while since you've left the hotel, don't get too worried because the bites take up to 9 days to appear. So basically saying that, if you just got bed bug bites to day and you left 3 days back, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have bed bugs. P.S. Your name rocks! lol
