Where can I get a durable vinyl sticker?

How do I get rid of the adhesive left over from a strong vinyl sticker thats been rmoved from an appliance?

This is a really sticky thin layer of adhesive that barely budges even when scratching it off with your fingernails. It's left over from a vinyl sticker applied by by Black and Decker on my handheld hoover! Need to get rid of it as dust sticks to it!
Answer:

olive or baby oil. Leave it to sit on the adhesive for an hour or so, then with a clean dry cloth rub gently towards the centre. This will take it right off.

Baby oil, just use with some kitchen paper, smear it on to the glue quite thickly, allow to penetrate, add some more to the paper and have a scrub. Works a treat.
