How can I get organized and stay organized?
-
Ok, I'm starting high school, in the fall, and since it's high school, it's a new begining, and I am looking forward to becoming organized. The only problem, is that I end up getting unorganized within a few days. How can I keep my room clean, andn stay organized without being bored with it. When I do get motivated, I lose interest within an hour. And tips to staying interested and motivated while cleaning?

Answer:
Set your alarm clock to go off in 15 min´s time . See how much you can achieve in this short amount off time , trust me you will be surprised just how much you can do , GO all dirty clothes in a pile next to your door , along with anything else that doe´s not belong. You take them back to their rightful places when you have finished. All clothes to the closet jean´s jumper´s top´s shirts , and so on folded ,hand them up . all shoes from under the bed all put in their places , Stop. You don´t have to do all in one day 15 min´s here and their . When you finish and think you have had enough for the day, sit down ,put your feet up read a magazine, but if you think you would rather carry on , then set your clock for another 15 min´s . You don´t won´t to be stuck inside cleaning , when the sun is shining outside, Try with 15, min´s

I am in High School and staying organized is KEY. I know I lose motivation too but once your room goes messy and lose essentials items, you WANT to stay organized. Trust me.I recently cleaned my room and binders and feel so much better about finding things I really need. Things I Do: -You should get one binder with dividers to label each section of that subjectl It is totally up to you how you want ot break down your classes by binders but dividers REALLY help. -I actually have these trays for my classes whenever I get assignments/homework returned to me and put them in the tray according to what class just in case you need to study them or just in case the teacher screws up your grade and have proof of what you really got. -I actually have a divider with the label HOMEWORK so all my homework goes back there and I put the homework according to which I will give it out first to last so it easier to find and get out. -Sticky notes can come in handy for reminders [especially for me since I tend to forget things and stick them up on my door, mirror, etc] and PLANNERS are a MAJOR BONUS and PLUS to remember all those major assignments, homework, and projects. -It is your chose, but you can hang up a calendar. You can put anything on there of your liking like party dates, birthdays of families and friends, AND circling major test dates but planners can be used for that purpose as well. -I also separate what is TRULY important and not imporant. I pile up on my non-imporant stuff [just in case] and when that quarter ends and get my final grade, I throw the non-imporant away [better to recycle] and keep the imporant things so you have more room. -Also, I prepare ALL my stuff the night before such as having homework/projects/assignments ready so I do not need to worry about not having it when the teacher collects it. Also preparing your clothes the night before is good too so just in case you wake up a little late, you wardrobe is ready-set-go. If you need any help, just ask me! Good Luck! I know you will do GREAT in High School. Just keep organizing things everyday so it becomes like a daily routine like brushing your teeth. =]

it's good to see that you have the initiative. rarely do you ever see a student with such a fantastic learning attitude. you should give up now. wait out the first couple years of high school because if you're having trouble now, you're going to have an even harder time with all the hormones. start trying to get organized the year before the grades you get, actually matters and by then, you've probably gotten used to the natural transition of adolescent-hood. ok, the chick up there knows what she's talking about. and you should probably look some things up on note-taking and file those notes at the end of every year according to subject. it seems pretty pathetic to look up your year 7 notes when you're in year 9 but it is pretty handy once in a while especially when you had a really awesome teacher for a certain year.
