-
Answer:
The Sony Entertainment PSP is a device that can be downgraded to an earlier firmware from any firmware that is currently installed. This includes firmware 5.51. The PSP downgrading pack consists of two items. The first item is called a Pandora battery, which places the PSP into service mode, from which the PSP can be downgraded. The second item is called the magic memory stick. The magic memory stick contains the new firmware that will be installed onto the PSP from within service mode. Difficulty: Easy Things You'll Need PSP downgrading pack (battery/Memory Stick Pro Duo) Instructions Lay your video game device on a flat surface to stabilize it. Push the small, rectangular button on the reverse side of the portable device and remove the small door on the back. The PSP battery is inside of this compartment. Pull back on the battery to remove it from the PSP. Open the small door on the side of the PSP where you insert the Memory Stick Pro Duo into the device. Pull out any Memory Stick Pro Duo that may be inside the PSP. Insert the downgrading the Memory Stick Pro Duo into the PSP's Memory Stick Pro Duo slot, and close the small door on the side of the PSP. Insert the downgrading service battery into the PSP's battery slot and place the door back on. Push the door's edges in to make sure it stays on. Turn the PSP on and the downgrading menu will show on the PSP's screen. Press the PSP's "X" button, which is this bottom button on the PSP to downgrade the PSP. Press the PSP's "X" button again to recycle the device's power. Remove the battery and memory stick from the PSP as you did earlier, and insert the normal battery and Memory Stick Pro Duo. Tips & Warnings Tip: The Pandora battery and magic memory sticks can be purchased from many different websites (see Resources).
