How do you get finger nail paint off a carpet?

  • I need help! My nephew got in to my finger nail paint.Hes two and he got it on his hands...I managed to get that off. But he also split it on my carpet in my room. My mom doesn't know and if I tell her she will freak out. So can you please tell me how to get finger nail paint off my carpet??? p.s: the finger nail paint is already dry. Thank You in advance!!!!

    Start with acetone. You can buy it in the paint section at hardware stores. Open the windows and wear rubber gloves. Acetone is highly toxic and noxious. Poor it directly on the carpet then blot with a rag. If it doesn't dissolve, scrub with a stiff bristle brush. Follow up with the product called "Goo Gone"( also in the paint section). You may want to vacuum with a Shop Vac to finnish it off. Good luck.

Acetone (aka nail polish remover). You can find a larger can of it in most paint depts. -Brian

pour finger nail polish remover on it and soak it up with paper towels it will come up eventually, u may have to use a lot of the remover . I did this once with red fingernail polish, it got it right out.

Acetone will do it. Remember to use a clots with acetone soaked on it and Pat it....don't wipe. If you wipe it will smear

Well the right thing to do is tell your mom but if you absolutely feel you cant then Goo Gone is your answer lol. It works wonders on just about any surface and any stain. Hope it works for you and if not hope your mom takes it well :)
