Why are my gag reflex in the morning so strong?

How do I overcome my sensitive gag reflex?

• First of all let me tell you that I am NOT giving oral sex. I'm talking about my gag reflex in general. Everyday I feel like I am going to vomit when I brush my teeth. It's starting to become a problem. I also just bought a Xaphoon (it's kind of like a saxophone), but I can't seem to play it because every time I try to put an inch of the reed into my mouth, I gag. When I play the harmonica, I'm supposed to move my tongue in certain ways to achieve certain sounds, but whenever I move my tongue back, I gag. My gag reflex is also triggered by my senses. I can't volunteer at the animal shelter because I gag every time I smell a little bit of dog feces. Even if I imagine something gross, I might gag. Also, I have actually vomited on several occasions of taking medication. Interestingly enough, I actually do NOT gag when I french kiss my girlfriend. I know it's mind over matter, but I don't know how to suppress my gag reflex. Can someone please help me?
