What is that 'bad feeling' that I get when I wake up early in the morning?
-
Usually when I have to get up and go to work early, I get this feeling. It is kind of hard to describe. Just sort of a sad feeling that feels like I'm "not accomplishing enough" or something. But after about 10-15 minutes of being up and awake, that usually goes away and I enjoy my day. I'm generally a cheery person....so what scientifically causes these 'bad feelings' that I get during the early morning sometime? I live in Atlanta, Georgia...so things like going to work are indeed a task among all of the people and bad traffic here. But I don't drive right now, so it's not the bad traffic that I'm worried about (I take public transportation to get to work, since it is more convenient). Does anyone else feel 'bad' for a short time after you wake up in the mornings? Not the 'bad' as in just another repetitive day, because I don't think that is what it is. Some mornings I wake up really early to go to work, I'm in a great mood, and I don't feel 'bad' for very long at all...if at all. So it varies, and I'm just trying to find out 'why' I feel this way.

I also get that feeling - I call it the "doomed" feeling, but it comes during the day quite randomly. There is also a taste associated with it for me.. kind of an acidic flavor. I don't know what it is, but I don't like it one bit.

hmmm... i don't really know but I'll put what i think; it may be because early in the morning all you see is dark and gloom, 'cause the sun isn't up and anything to do with that makes you feel sort of 'bad' i guess that's one of the words to describe it... well... i hope it helped, and perhaps for a solution maybe make your room brighter...

I feel that way as well, but I believe the reason is because I want to be all that I can be at work and I know that I wont be able to because what if it is a busy day? And I fall behind? Then they will think I am weak and slow and wont like me as much. That is why i get the sad feeling in the morning before I get to work, and I cant punch in early to get an early start. That could be the reason you feel this way, but it may not be. It goes away as soon as I get to work though, and I start working. I am in a great mood in the morning, I am actually a morning person. But just for a short while in the morning I feel this way. I am not sure what scientifically causes this, but it may be something more mental then anything. Maybe subconsciously you fear not being all you can be at work, so you dread going for a short while. Or maybe it is because you don't want to really go to work, you would rather spend your day doing what you love. I am not so sure. I hope I helped somewhat.
