Why Do I Forget To Eat All Day? (Gastroparesis?)?

Alright, here's one for you healthy living folks, nutritionists, trainers, whatever. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis by my GI doctor after complaining of digestive problems, mainly that it takes me a long, loooooong time to umm... get rid of stuff after I eat. For those that don't know, gastroparesis is a partial paralysis of the lower part of the stomach which prevents it from emptying at a normal interval. So food stays stuck in your stomach longer. This has caused me to not be able to eat large meals (not really unhealthy,) if I eat late at night, I suffer heartburn, nausea and unpleasant tastes in the morning. By changing my diet around and working with supplements I've been eliminate the nausea and by trying to adhere to a schedule of not eating after 8pm I can generally avoid any morning discomfort. The point being, I still forget to eat all day. I force myself to eat something in the morning, usually something very small like a fruit cup, sometimes two, maybe 130 calories in both... I go through the rest of the day, and somewhere between 8=10pm I realize "Crap, I forgot to f***king eat again today." I try to do cardio 4-5x a week, but I get so easily exhausted after even 20-30 minutes of low impact exercise, I assume because I'm just not taking in enough calories to burn. This has all become extremely frustrating for me. I want to build stamina and physical dexterity, but if I ever try to eat more I just end up feeling sick and bloated. Any ideas out there, folks?

I'd say set an alarm on your phone 3 times a day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner so that way you'll have a little reminder.
