Best way to remove a splinter in big toe?

with a needle and someone else doing it.heat the needle and dig it out.

get a needle and go under the skin and the splinter and lift it out......just dont go to far under!

Pull it out carefully and gently using tweezers or if it's really big pull it with your fingers. Once removed apply some antiseptic cream. If it's lodged firmly or beneath the skin then apply some magnesium sulphate (sulfate) paste - available from chemists. This will soften the skin and make it easier to extract. Taking a bath or soaking your foot in warm water will also soften the skin and make it easier to remove the splinter.

Carefully press on the sides of the toe and try forcing it out. If it dun work, see where the splinter end heads towards. After that cut alittle slit of the opening towards the deeper portion of the splinter. Using a tweezer, or a nail-clipper, get hold of the splinter and pull it out.

If tweezers don't do it get some Magnesium Sulphate paste from the chemist. That will draw it out.

Remove it, you don't need it anyway.

I agree with tweezers - my mum uses a needle but you have to poke about and have less control. Best to disinfect them first, and your skin after. If its tricky, soak your foot first to soften the skin. Hotish water may draw it. Best advice however - if there is anyone you can get to help you, do that as its hard to get toes and hands close to your eyes!
