Ive had constipation for over a week, so i took medicine, now i have diarrhea but i still have to push...?

about a week ive had to push some when going to the bathroom and when i was finished i still felt like i didnt finish, but i couldnt go anymore. so yesterday i took some stool softener medicine and today when i got up i went to the bathroom and ive gone about 6-7 times today and had diarrhea, but as the day went on i had to push some. it comes out watery and diarrhea, but i have to push still. what is this? should i not worry about it and just go when i have to until this diarrhea passes?
Answer:

1. don't take anything for a while 2. let this run it's course 3. look for blood and if that gets really bad go to doctor 4. stop taking any kind of med that mighy cause this to keep up till this is over
