How to treat blisters on my feet right before a race??
-
I'm running a 10-mile race on Saturday and I have blisters on both feet that get irritated and bulge when I run more than 3 miles. I ran 6 yesterday and don't want to run long again before Saturday, but they did kill like crazy yesterday and get bad again. I can only imagine what they'll be like on Saturday. My shoes are asics and I've been running in them all summer. My feet have been blistering up since mid-July. At this point, I don't want to try new shoes, but any help/advice on how to treat the blisters and how I could wrap my feet or something for the race would be great!

Answer:
Blisters are caused by friction, your shoes do not fit properly. Either they are too big or too loose. You must find a way to prevent the shoe from moving against the skin of your foot. It may take 6 weeks to heal properly. Sorry about the pain. It can be dangerous. Good luck.
