Do maggots get drunk when you bury an alcoholic?

Do maggots get drunk when they bury alcoholics?

  • Answer:

No. It is not the maggots who bury them. It is the undertakers. However if you meant whether the body of an alcoholic has enought alcohol in it to cause fly larvae to get drunk - the answer is still no. Most people who are buried have had their blood replaced with embalming fluid and that is not going to get anything drunk.

1 ounce of alcohol motabolizes in 1 hour. An alcoholic does not necesaarily have alcohol in the body when they die. So I would say no. TFTP
