Can't stop cracking nuckles/neck?

Yeah, I am CONSTANTLY cracking my knuckles and neck. It's really awkward, because other people find it disgusting. I just can't stop though. I do it without thinking. I do it about every 15 seconds too! What can I do to stop myself before I crack them. Even if I think, "don't crack your knuckles, it's bad for you." I still do it, out of addiction I think. What can I do? Please no, "go see a doctor." I simply don't have time, I don't think this is worth wasting a doctors time, and making other patients wait. Thanks!

I used to have almost the same problem. Its just a habit, the only way to change it is to divert to something else. In my case I'd sit there and pick at the dead skin around my fingers...solution? I bought a little ring and instead of picking at my fingers I practiced rolling it across my fingertips (sort of like a silver dollar across the back of the fingers) and now I have a highly amusing habit that delights small children :D Just always try to keep it in mind about the cracking knuckles/neck and do your best to do some certain set thing instead...doesn't matter how much you fail because eventually you'll train yourself.
