Why am i so tired all the time?

  • I'm in university and I know that everyone is pretty much tired here. The only thing is that I feel like I get a decent amount of sleep (usually about 6 hours a night) but I'm still tired :( Lately I have been taking like 2-3 hour naps during the day which could be a contributing factor, but I pretty much need to take naps since I'm so tired during the day. I'm usually at school for 10-12 hours a day so could this be part of the reason as to why I always feel tired (I feel even more tired once I get home) -Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Answer:

Since your in college you are an adult and adults need around 7-8 hours of sleep a night to feel fully rested. also I have found out from experiences that naps basically count as half the time you actually take them because our body is set up to sleep at night not during the day. With this I would just have to tell you to maybe just settle down and do some reading or homework for like a half an hour before you go to sleep with a dim light to let you body know its almost time to go to bed. I hope this helps but for me this half an hour chill thig has worked wonderfully for me becuase I couldnt fall asleep right away either which cut into my sleeping time.
