How to start a career modeling?

• I’m 19 years old and I’m interested in modeling. i currently go to school at a junior college and live in Southern California. i am not a conceited person!!! When i was younger i even considered myself kinda ugly. But now after growing up people start to notice me and i have been asked multiple times if i have ever modeled. i know modeling isn't something you can't just walk into. I’m just looking for information and steps what i would have to do to get started.

  for most people, the way to do it is to start building up a portfolio of photographs of you modeling, these could be done professionally but if you just use a good quality camera and print them on photo paper then nobody would ever know the difference. Put together your portfolio then research the modeling agencies in your area and arrange to go and visit one of them. They will be able to tell you for certain whether you have the potential to be a model and then send you on the right path. Good luck!:)
