What do Fashion Designers wear to work?

We're having a career day in school where you have to dress for what you want to be when you grow up. When I grow up, I want to be a Fashion Designer. I began to wonder what they wear exactly. I have a shirt that says 'Love Your Style' with a wire dummy (I'm not exactly sure what the name is right now). Would that work? Also, any cosmetic tips would help too. Please help!
