How to start your modeling career?

I'm a preteen and want to be a model. How do I start my modeling career and what companies should I look into?

  john robert powers is a great school to get some training in. they do portfolios and have people come in from alll over to have audtions with the students. once you get a year or two under your belt, they have an option to have you flown out to LA if they think you're ready. it's expensive, but the idea is that it is a wise investment. on a different note, i did all that, and thought being a model was what i really wanted to do. then i realized that standing around in something uncomfortable, out in the rain, for hours upon hours upon hours, just to be rejected for how i look is not what i wanted. look into other options for a career. modeling is just a side gig really. there's also websites you can go to and set up an account where agents can look at you and see if they want you. tips; don't post sexy photos, look your age, try not to only have amateur photos up, and do background checks on these agents. don't meet up with anybody alone!
