What's your snowboard/ski coat?

Whats this coat called??

  • Hi, I'm trying to think what this coat-like-thing is called. It's usually worn by 'hippy' style girls, is knitted (I think) loosely so it has holes, thigh length but light, is a kind of tan colour in my head but you can get stripey ones too. Possible has a hood, is quite thin, maybe woolly. I think sometimes they are done up with duffle things? In my head I can see tassles? Or pom poms? I dunno -something hanging. I think they sell them in Camden. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or could provide a link to one? It's just REALLY BUGGING ME!!!! Thanks ;-) Matt

i dunno maybe it is a kaftan you mean? or maybe a type of mongolian coat? or even a neaplese festival hippy jacket? its tough to know what you mean exactly, but i hope this might help?

BRICK

Sounds like you're describing a "poncho" - they're usually crocheted, hence the "holes", and can be any length, and some have a hood also. Put "poncho" in Google or Yahoo, and see what comes up!

sillyone

Poncho.

minus

Could it be a poncho? It's hard to tell without seeing one.

Is it like a Mexican cape? If so, then it is a poncho. It usually have no sleeves.

Lottie

Could be a cape, poncho or a wrap.
