How do I start a Handbag line?

• I have such a passion for designing handbags. I want to start a line and sell them at wholesale markets. I'm not the best sewer so I would need to get in contact with someone to produce them for me. How do I get in touch with someone like this or what can I do to get my line off the ground? I have a portfolio but I'm not sure who to show it to. I live in Dallas Tx so surely there are some connections. I just have no clue where to start or what to do to start. If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

  If you already have a few prototypes i think the best thing to do is set up a meeting with a few retailers and they will be able to steer you in a career's direction, for example, target market, price range, material, stocks, customer research, and how you could improve your product. If you don't have any prototypes yet, take a class to improve your skills. Good Luck, and by the way, Calli Morgan sounds like an awesome designers name :P xxx
