What to wear to an Italian festival?

What should I wear to a Literature Festival?

• i got invited to read my poetry at a literature festival and i have no idea what to wear and i don't want to look over dressed. my mom said i should wear one of my "church dresses".....and if i do i plan on wearing one it will look like this (this is not it put it has the same compositions) >> http://data.whicdn.com/images/9641815/tumblr_lkvf0gYJuz1qblyyto1_500_large.png and a bolero (that looks exactly like this) >> http://www.plussizethis.com/pictures/BandLuKeaneBolero.jpg to cover up the shoulders. but i'm afraid i'll look over dressed, plus i kinda don't want to wear a dress anyways. so any suggestions? this event will be around 3:00PM on a Sunday and will be held in a library, if that helps with anything.

  For this, I would not wear anyhthing short. If you are goun to wear a dress, wearsomething knee length. A pencil skirt and blouse would be great! You could wear some dress pants, and a vintage inspired shirt (like one with a floral print) and a cardigan over it. Pair that with some heels and you've got yourself a cute yet professional outfit ready for some poetry reading!
