I just met a woman that swears that eating a vegan diet helps her. She is very young to be suffering, I think, but she is very happy with her lifestyle.

I feel sorry for you and hope you cope well. 1. you must get diagnosis confirmed by doctor. 2. there is NO evidence that diet therapy will help. So do not restrict your diet and make life more difficult than it is already. 3. It is very important to start drug treatment early to prevent joint damage. 4. Unfortuatnely, at present there is no cure for rheumatoid arthritis. drug treatment is life long. 5. many people suffer from this condition. we must hope that scientist come up with a cure. 6. do not waste your money and time for herbal treatment. they do not work.

Medical scientists have found that certain foods promote inflammation - exacerbate RA - and should be avoided. And also that some foods reduce inflammation - ease RA - so eat these foods. Foods that promote inflammation (avoid) : ~ All processed foods ~ Deep fried foods and any food cooked in Animal Fats ~ Dairy milk products ~ Wheat - found in bread, breakfast cereals, cakes, biscuits, slices, crackers, gravy mixes etc ~ Too much red meat ~ Cold meats ~ Any foods that you know you are allergic to or intolerant of Foods that reduce inflammation (eat) : ~ Fruits and vegetables especially watery ones and those high in antioxidants such as blueberries, raspberries etc ~ Nuts and seeds that contain Omega 3 Oils - almonds, brazil nuts, linseeds etc ~ Olive Oil, Linseed Oil - Omega 3 Oils ~ Oily Fish - mackerel, salmon, tuna etc - Omega 3 Oils ~ Oats - porridge Also Magnesium, which is found in almonds and dates and supplements (400mg RDI) is very good at relaxing muscles thereby reducing pain.

Sometimes people who are diagnosed with RA actually have Lyme disease. You might look into it. You have what I have. I have it along with Scoliosis(not an autoimmune disorder), Pre Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, and RA. Usually anti immune disorders go together hand in hand and over lap each other. Has your Rheumatologist suggested Enbrel? These are expensive shots that work with T Cells in your body. It basically blocks your immune system from attacking the good organs, tissues, joints, etc in your body. Insurance will cover the majority of it and its a life saver. If it helped someone like me with all of those... It will definitely help you... PS: Stop speaking negatively over yourself. Mind over matter. If you say poor me, I'm dying... You will. Quit.
