Can Alzheimer's Disease be prevented?

What causes alzheimers disease how it spready among humans how can it be prevented ??

    They are not sure of the cause but it probably involves plaque build up in a certain part of the brain. It is not contageous. No sure way to prevent but current theories involve keeping brain active (crossword puzzles, games), taking anti-inflammatory drugs (such as Motrin). Lots of research ongoing to prevent it. All the drugs on market just slow down the progression of the disease, not stop it. Better drugs are being developed so hang on. Good luck

i dont hink you can prevent it from coming it just happens and when it does its here to stay it really is a sad thing

It can be heriditary or just come with naturally with age. Scientists are working on ways of slowing the effects, but there is no way to prevent it yet.

alzheimers isnt like a cold it depends on if it runs in the family and they can not fully understand it , i dont even thinnk you can prevent it

If we had the answers to your questions, we'd all be a lot happier. Right now, nobody know. It know it's not contagious, so it's not "spread," but nobody really know what causes it or how it can be prevented.

cause is unknown, they said people who does exercise their will likely not get it, so start doing crossword puzzle while your young and make a habit of it (this is only an example, but there are lots of exercise you can do). Tai Chi is also a good exercise.
