Can I get on disability if I have Tourette's syndrome?

Will my insurance pay for Botox injections for my tourettes that causes headaches?

• I was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome in my early teens. As a early teen, it was very severe and I was on medicine to control it. It took three years to find a medication that responded with my body, but it finally worked. When I turned 18 / 19, I weened myself off of the medicine and I was able to keep the Tourettes to minor facial tics. The tics have always been present, but not a problem. In the last 1 1/2 years, my facial twitches have come back... With a vengeance! I believe it is associated with the stress of school, parenting, work, etc.. Specifically, I have an eyebrow twitch that is the source of the problem. I know it sounds silly, but my constant twitching of my eyebrows causes several problems. My muscles get so sore that I have to ice my face every night when I get home, and I get HORRIBLE headaches nightly that are associated with the twitches. In the last year, I have been prescribed the medication that was previously working (Topomax), but it is not effective. I'm wondering if insurance (United Health Care) would pay for Botox treatments in my eyebrow muscles since they are causing the headaches. Can anyone give me advice? Tourettes changes with age, so I am 25 for those who are familiar with the condition. Thank you for your help!
