Swollen hands and feet?

Hands and Feet Feel Swollen?

  • I'm a 21 year old female, and for as long as I can remember, my hands and feet often feel tight and swollen. They're not actually swollen at all; they just feel like they are. This happens mostly late into the evening, or sometimes in the morning. I recently found out that I have Restless Leg Syndrome, and I also for the past few years have had problems with a pinched nerve in my back that can give me quite a lot of pain in my left leg. Since leg discomfort is so normal for me, I never really thought much about the tight discomfort in my feetl. But since I also feel it in my hands, I'm wondering what this might be from. Could it be related to RLS? I figured it could be a dehydration thing, because that's sort of what it feels like. I crave water, and I always have the urge to go swimming! But I do drink a lot of water on a regular basis, so I'm just not sure! Any ideas?

  • Answer:

Its probably nothing if its been happening for awhile, but if you're worried you should talk to your Dr. A couple if symptoms of Renal failure are edema and thirst. But since you hae never had a problem witthis before, that's probably not the case. when I went into acute renal failure I didn't get puffy so I didn't know it had anything to do with Mt kidneys. ask your doctor, she can get a blood test to check your kidney function. You don't want to play with your kidneys.
