Why do my eyes burn when I'm on the computer?

Chronic Dry eyes! Does anyone know about the dry eyes implants?

  • I have chronic dry eyes, And just two months ago I went to the health food store and got fish oil, flaxseed oil, olive oil, and borage oils all in one. I was so amazed on how this product had helped me with the suffering of dry eyes 90% I recently pick a temporay job working outdoors, Im aware of the wind so I decided to prepare myself before i started this job, I have my sunglasses my eye drops and faithfully takes my olis before i leave in the morning. Well I realize that it doesn't help. My eyes burn, gritty, I took my glasses off and the sun bare down on my eyes so hard that I instantly got a headace and felt so nausea. I feel so so helpless and I feel like Im suffering "I hate this feeling" When I come home my eyes seems to be ok just a little. Im interested in the implants is it safe. Im a scaredy cat and afraid to have the operation. but Im tire of suffering. I know dry eyes unforunately never goes way. But in suggestions would help Please. Thank You.

    I know how you feel! I'm going through the same thing myself. You might want to try using a preservative free eye drops - I use Rephresh Plus, and I use them about 4 or 5 times a day. My opthamologist also suggested I use very warm compresses on my eyes 2 times a day to help release the natural oils that folks like us are missing in our tears. The implants are very safe, but temporary. The longest they stay in your eyes are 6 months before they work themselves out. Putting them in is very simple - though I haven't had it yet. You really need to be seeing an Opthamologist (doc for eyes only) to make sure you get the best care for your eyes - after all, you only have one set!! I do feel your pain.........every single day, and I know how frustrating it is! My doctor has also prescribed Restasis - an eye drop you use twice a day to help your eyes produce better quality tears. Please find a good opthamologist in your area and have him help you through this really frustrating situation! Hang in there!

Have you seen a doctor? Sometimes the cause of dry eyes is nothing more complicated than a blockage in the tear duct and can be resolved very quickly and easily. If you don't get any suitable responses please e-mail me. A friend of mine who lives across the road is an eye surgeon and I can get you some info from him if needs be.

Lets get to the crux of the problem and I would suggest seeing an Kinesiologist. When you say 'I know dry eyes unfortunately never goes away' you are setting yourself a negative message and setting it in motion. It is just a thought and a thought can be changed. Perhaps change this negative thinking to, My eyes work perfectly well, 300 times a day. Good luck.

Have you tried going to the dr. and asking for rastatis (I think that is how it's spelled)? It's for chronic dry eye. My husband's grandfather has chronic dry eye and he said that is has really helped him alot. Even to where he can go outside and do shop work. I hope that this helps.
