How to get rid of a cough and cold very fast with home remedies?

• I've got a cough and a cold and i've had it for 3 days. I need to get rid of it before sunday because i have and event to attend. I know it might be impossible to get rid of it that fast but i need very ounce of treatment to get it to subside and not be obvious. Any home remedies would be helpful. you can also give me a website. ps if i don't get well before sunday my mom won't let me join the event. It doesn't necessarily have to be gone. I just have to look okay and not have as many coughs.
