What are some symptoms of the swine flu?
-
Never gotten the swine flu (thank god) but recently, my co-worker has been feeling sick...on her way to getting some kind of flu. So I was wondering what are some of the symptoms of the swine flu? I am asking this because I want to make sure none of my family starts getting the symptoms...or the swine flu. I'm sick--but I don't have the swine flu--just the regular seasonal flu but I'd really like to know the symptoms of the swine flu just in case...

Answer:
Swine flu hits a different demographic age group than the 'regular' flu, and IT IS COMMON ALL YEAR. The Swine flu differs from the seasonal flu in that it might not come with fever, and some people are describing it as just a mild fever, but with the aches and other symptoms. The 'regular' flu season in the northern hemisphere is November to February. So if you have 'regular seasonal flu' and you are up here in the US, you should check with your doctor. And avoid contact with anyone during the first three to four days. Since your daughter is barely a month old, she probably will be fine for another week or two, but you should check with her pediatrician for protective nasal spray for her. Check with the CDC website for more information.

Swine flu is pretty much the same as regular flu. If your not extremely scared of your family getting regular flu, don't be scared of them getting swine flu.

The most marked symptom of the swine flu FOR SOME PEOPLE, is the scorching hot 105 degree temp. Some folks get the swine flu and it hits them no different than any other old flu. The swine flu is hitting younger people the hardest but even they, in most cases, recover very quickly. The deaths you're hearing about are nearly all linked to a secondary infection. The main secondary or underlying infection being a pneumonia. In fact, it's the pneumonia that's killing people, not H1N1 itself. You're fine, get some sleep and take plenty of Vitamin C and D. Keep in mind that New Zealand and Australia just got through their flu seasons, did H1N1 kill thousands and thousands like all the hype echoed? NO!!! I agree completely with the poster below, the vaccine is going to hurt you far more than H1N1. I'm tempted to go hug and kiss a pig for a little immunity. Best of luck.

people are too paranoid. i live in texas. we border mexico. thousands of mexicans jump the border every month, and there have only been a dozen or so cases in my city - which has close to 2 million people in it by the way.. and the ones who did have it, only 1 died, and that was because he was in his late 80's and not in good health anyway. he caught it from the vaccine..... the guy was bed-ridden. they got him out of bed to get his flu shots for whatever reason, despite the fact he never left his bed, and of course he caught it and died. babies die from it too, and it didn't take long at all for them to stop giving the vaccines to baby's young kids and old people. More people are dying from the vaccine than die from the flu itself... most people who get the flu are just .. sick for a few days and they get over it.
the first common symptom of swine flu is back aches. like it aches when your sick and you have body aches. and usually the first symptom is an achy back. then its hard to tell regular flu from swine flu. i'd see a doctor when you are sick with flu like symptoms.
