Thyroidectomy recovery?
-
I had half my thyroid and the isthmus removed about 3 weeks ago. My speaking voice is scratchy. My singing voice is nonexistent (I was a part-time professional!) and now I have what feels like swollen glands in my neck. I am not on any thyroid supplements yet. I feel horrible, tired, irritable... I would like to hear from anyone who has been through this and how long it took to feel 'normal' again. When will I be able to sing again!

Answer:
You did not say why it was removed. I would have thought that you already would be put on meds (Synthroid, maybe?).
