How do you know if you have bed bugs?

How long does it take before i know i have bed bugs?

  • I visited a friends house at the beginning of january this year who has bed bugs and today i woke up with 2 bites on my arm. Dont know if its bed bug bites but Would it take that long for me to know if i have bed bugs or not? That would mean i have had them for a month and just now getting a bite on my arm. What do you think. Could my bites be bed bugs or no?

  • Answer:

If you are that concerned I would just wash your sheets. Every one gets spider bites. Its hard to prevent. It's been two months I think you might have known that you had them already if you did. Don't worry too much.

Check you sheets for any spots of blood. Bed bug are blood suckers. check your mattress in the ridge where the mattress is sewn together. Try sleeping in another be. Wash your sheets with a little chlorox and hot water. Take a valcumn cleaner and vacumn your matress and box spring. This is only if you find any bed bugs. Also wash the inside slats or rails on your bed. If you knew that they had bed bugs, then don't spend the night in their beds. Bed bugs are very difficult to radicate. You should have changed and washed your clothes and taken a bath after getting home. I hope you don't have them. Those bites may have been from a spider. Jo Ann

Bed bugs feed on the dead cells that are present in beds as soon as they are used. They can be brought in from infected places. See web page below for more information
