What are the causes of gout?

  • As known that gout is mean a high level of uric acid in the blood, what is the main factor to turn this uric acid level high in the blood? any eating habits? or type of foods? or has a linkage with another diseases such as diabetes or cholesterol or such... and if someone has diabetese and got gout, any type of juices? or hot drinks such as gree Tea to be in the daily diet?     High purine foods in a diet can increase uric acid levels in the body. Therefore, the gout diet usually limits food with high purine. Avoid High-Purine foods Sweetbreads, Anchovies, Sardines, Liver, Beef kidneys, Brains, Meat extracts, Herring, Mackerel, Scallops Use in Moderation Vegetables: asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms and green peas Lentils, dried peas and beans Beef, pork, poultry, fish and seafood Oatmeal, wheat bran and wheat germ Green tea & adequate Vitamin C is benificial. Genetic, or underexcretion of urate could also cause hyperuricemia.
