Going to my doctor about lumps in my neck, what will happen?

  • i have had these lumps, under my skin, around my neck for years and now i think its about time i get them seen to. i just took it, because i was only 12 when i noticed them, that they were just cysts. but i am now 19 and they are still there and i want to know what they are or if they are harmful. i am going to see my doctor about these lumps, but what will happen? i know he will feel my neck, but what will happen after that? so i am

    if they were cysts then, they are most probably still cysts now although you don't say if you ever had a doctor look at them.The only was to get rid of them is minor surgery to remove the little capsule that fills up with gunk. The dr will most likely feel then and look at them again to confirm they are just cysts and refer you to someone who will remove them either with local anaesthetic or under general. He or she may even be able to remove them there and then depending on placement and size etc.
