Why is my ear discharge bloody?

Son has bloody discharge from ear after ear tubes...?

• my 3 year old son had tubes put in his ears in February of 2008. The doc said there would be some discharge and maybe light blood...in the inital first week. Is has been almost 3 months and I had to take him in to the ENT cuz his ear started bleeding out of nowhere.... I was told that the left ear tube had fallen out...and the eardrum had healed...but was bulging alreay with liquid behind it. He gave me antibiodics for both oral and ear drops... My question is...now the other ear has dried blood in it and sometimes it seems fresh....why would the ear with the healed up eardrum have blood at all? also, the ear with the tube still drains with bloody tinge. Any ideas as to why his healed ear would be draining blood?

  Read a little down at the bottom where it talks about after you have ear tubes done they can sometimes rupture.If not what you're looking for this sight might help a little.Good luck.
