What exactly is nausea?

What could be causing my never-ending nausea?

• Okay, so my stupid parents won't take me to a doctor. So, can you guys figure out whats could be causing my nausea? I mean it's been going on for so long now. About 4 weeks, and I have no idea what's causing it. It seems really weird to me because everyday I would have at least 3 long periods of nausea. Some days the nausea isn't that bad, but then some days it's so bad I feel like vomiting. But never did end up getting sick. If you want to know details about my health; I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux a few months ago, and the doctor put me on ranitidine (a pill that helps with my stomach before I go to bed.) Heartburn is randomly coming back, but it isn't severe. And sometimes I can actually feel stomach acid and food contents rising in my esophagus. That's when I get this funny feeling in my chest. Almost like an upward motion. But I never get nauseous because of the feeling. I just get nauseous uncontrollably. Gravol, and ginger supplements never seem to work for me to rid the nausea. Oh, and one more important detail; I had a major change in my diet this week. I've been eating lots of fast food, and junk food because I was out to my cabin. Which isn't good idea since I have Acid Reflux hence the reason why my heartburn is coming back probably. And no, get it out of your mind that I could be pregnant because I've never had sex before. Anyways, do any of you know what could be causing my nausea? Is it my unhealthy diet, or could it be something else that's causing this long-term nausea? And should I see a doctor fast?

  Definitely a problem that should be looked at further by a medical professional. Can you take yourself to a doctor? Might be a side effect of the ranitidine. There are other H2-histamine blockers that can be prescribed. Possible gall bladder or liver condition. Possible bacterial gastritis due to low acidity in stomach. Maybe check for Helicobacter.
