What are the chances that I contracted HIV?

  • First of all, not looking for critisism etc. I know I made a potentially fatal mistake. Was drunk three weeks ago, and hooked up with a complete stranger (male). He rubbed his penis against my anus, (no penetration) and he was in his underwear but he was wet. Then we gave each other head and masturbated for a while, then near the end I stuck my penis just a little bit into his anus, max an inch. It was only in there for maybe max five seconds then I pulled out and came while my penis was still touching his rectum. I do not know whether or not he was HIV positive, what are my risks? From what I understand, there is no point in being tested untill three months after the incident? This is my only time ever having unprotected sex ever and it was with a male for my first time ever. I've been panicing since it happened and I am unable to focus on my schoolwork and life. Yesterday, I had the chills and felt tired. (I understand this may be acute HIV syndromes). This morning my lymph nodes feel slightly swelled up, (but I don't really know what they normally feel like). Somebody please offer advice, I feel so hopeless. I can't believe I was so stupid, I can't focus on anything else.

    okay to have unprotected sex and you are a homosexual male is very risky. yes it is possible to contract HIV, from anal intercourse even if it wasn"t in that long or that deep. you still had sex with out a condom. the quickest way to get HIV is anal, and the least way to catch HIV is oral. to contract HIV from oral sex is possible, but it is a low risk but you should still be protected anyway, because you don"t know what else is on they dick. and yes you will have to wait up to 3 months to get tested for HIV. to get tested right now would be to soon, because in the early primary stage of HIV infection, it will not show up in test, because the virus has not completley settled in your immune system. but i know symptoms of HIV infection are flu-like symptoms, sore throat,swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, dry cough, diahirrea, fatigue,. but do not freak out and be upset about this. if you do get tested and it comes back positive, it dosen"t mean that your life is over. and it dosent mean you are going to die. if it comes back negative consider it a blessing from God, and learn to be more careful and protect your self. because Aids is a *****.

stop panicking i don't think you catch anything because u didnt penetrate him plus only head was a little in for 5 seconds as you said. No need to worry. You did all the other stuff like oral sex but as long as if didnt *** in your mouth while you got cut in your mouth, your clear. Just learn your lesson this time ok? And stop drinking if you can't control yourself therefore going and doing stupid sh!t

There are HIV test that give you results after 3 weeks. But, it is impossible to get symptoms that soon.
