    I only know of three that can't be cured - HIV, HSV, and HPV. That is, human immune-deficiency virus, herpes simplex virus, and human papilloma virus. HIV can kill you - but can currently (often) be well-controlled with medication. I'm not very knowledgable about this disease. Perhaps someone can add information? HPV won't kill you by itself, but certain types can be a precursor to cervical cancer. With that said, many types of HPV can subside on their own (as I understand it.) Again, I'm not very up-to-date on HPV. HSV absolutely won't kill you, or cause infertilty or anything else. Great question.
