Why did my lower lip twitch?

Lip twitch oh hell, plz read this!! help!!!!?

  • ok here the deal, a few days ago, my lower lip on the left side started twitching, like if i look in the mirror i can see my lip moving, but it only last for a bit, after a few days have passed the twitching is happening a lot less often. But here is the problem: I looked up lip twitch on google, and it says its a symptom of herpes!!!! I am 18yrs old and a freshman in college, but I have NEVER HAD SEX(virgin). Ill be truthful, i have kissed a girl at college before, but she didnt have anything on her lips, she looked normal, and is a nice girl. so now im worrying about this constantly, I want to know what I should do, and what else could this be besides herpes, because im scared as hell-I dont want cold sores all over my lips, then girls wont talk to me :( and my life will stink

    This can be caused by many reasons You could be stressed (usually A twitch is actually a sign your body is giving off to tell you that you are under stress), You could have a nerve dysfunction It could just be a muscle spasm Or it could be because you are low on potassium or magnesium You also could have Tourette's syndrome or you could have herpes. Stop freaking yourself out ok!? That is probably making the twitch worse. Deal with it like an adult go to the doctor. If it turns out that you have herpes, relax, 80% of people do. There is no use in getting yourself upset before you even know though. Stay calm and go to the doctor.

DONT WORRY if it gets worse just go to a doc and then do whatever he says dont deny him.. unless hes a dumb one. lol but still you shouldnt worry!

reeeeelllllaaaaaaxxxxx kid! seriously! if you havent had sex then how can you have a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE. And if you have only kissed one girl then chances are thats not what it is. If you take any kind of depression or mind altering medications, twitching is a common side effect. Go to the doctor and tell them the symptoms. Or go onto WebMD and do some research.

TWITCHING CAN BE CAUSED BY SO MANY THINGS - A VITAMIN DEFICIENCY, ALLERGY, NERVES, NOT ENOUGH SLEEP, EPILEPSY, TOURETTES'. DON'T DRIVE YOURSELF CRAZY. IT'S PROBABLY NOTHING. Well, yes, a lip twitch can be a signal for a breakout, but since you've been having it for a couple of days without getting a cold sore, and you've only kissed one girl, you probably don't have herpes. Until you get a cold sore, try not to worry.

Don't be a hypochondriac and jump to a conclusion depending on something you saw online. Some times people get muscle spasms. I get them sometimes when I'm stressed in my eye and lip. I don't have herpes. If you are REALLY worried go get tested at a doctor.
