Answer:
If you are between 16 and 20 years old, odds are you are having problems with the old enemy, acne, and that you are trying to find a solution to it. You’re far from being alone in this matter, as nearly 70% of all youths suffer from more or less severe forms of acne. And for many people, moving into the late 20s does not mean an end to acne, but the same old problem. The most embarrassing, of course, is facial acne. Pimples on you back or chest can be hidden under clothing even in the summertime, but your face is always exposed. Every person you meet will look you in the face and even if no comment is made you know what they are all thinking, don’t you? Fact is, people tend to judge others from the clothes they wear, the state and color of their skin and other such superficial aspects. This is why you have to get rid of acne. Here are quick and simple ways that we can care for our skin. 1. Nourish your skin by eating the proper foods. This means healthy and balanced diet. Healthy and balanced diet promotes our general well being and optimizes our body to function at its best. To have a healthy skin, eat plenty of seed food i.e. fruits that contain seeds, vegetables - organic vegetables are better as it contains additional nutrients 2. Drink plenty of water. The recommended eight glasses of water a day is essential in maintaining the skin’s elasticity and suppleness. Water also clears your skin and aids in the proper elimination of waste. Remember, less waste products in your body, more beautiful skin. 3. Exercise regularly. Exercise is good for our heart and body. Even our skin benefits with exercise by increasing blood circulation and thus bringing enough oxygen and nutrients to the rest of our body. Exercise also triggers the body to produce more sebum that is the body’s natural moisturizer. 4. Be smoke and alcohol- free. Smoking tends to destroy the Vitamin C in your body, damage the elastic tissues that keep skin tight. Drinking liquor on the other hand tends to expand your blood vessels causing red spots and itchiness on your skin. 5. Cleanse it. Cleaning plays an important part in the overall wellness of your skin. Experts agree that we should gently clean our skin; tone it; moisturize it; and exfoliate it. 6. Protect your skin. Harsh elements can severely damage your skin and can lead to irritation and infection. Wear sunscreen with at least SPF 15 every time you go out of the sun. For outdoor activity, use SPF 45 because you'll be perspiring, which dilutes the sunscreen. For those who are very fair, who have red hair, blue eyes and freckles, add a total block that contains titanium or zinc. 7. Rest. Get plenty of rest. You are giving your skin a time to rejuvenate and heal while you rest. Stress is extremely bad for your skin and body. It indirectly creates instability in your hormonal system, which in turn leads to more skin problems like breakouts and acne. Hope I helped! UJ xx

It really depends on what is causing your outbreak. If it's hormonal, a doctor will have medication to help. If it is blocked pores, what works for me is putting COLD water on a towel, dabbing foaming cleanser on your face and using the towel to exfoliate once a day. If it's stress or poor diet (most likely) try drinking loads of water and exercising, and if needed seeing a mecial professional for help with your personal issues. Good luck, and please don't let your skin rule your life- you're still beautiful.

That happened to me once in high school and I got some medicine from a doctor (I was actually there for some other reason and he noticed the acne and prescribed it for me). Anyway I don't remember the name of the medicine, but I took three pills a day and the acne cleared right up after about three days. This was a long time ago, so they probably have even better medicine now. So my advice is, if it won't go away with benzoyl peroxide, go to a doctor and get a prescription. It doesn't need to be a dermatologist. Your regular doctor can prescribe it.

best way is to see a doc, believe or not, the prescription medicine is very useful. you should be able to see the result within a week of using it speaking of my own experience.

Go to a dermatologist and they can prescribe you with a prescription pill that will balance your hormones. They will also give you some good prescription strength cream for night and day application. I have had that same problem too and the only thing that clears up my flare ups is a trip to the dermatologist. I have tried all the over the counter stuff to and nothing seems to work either. Also what I find helps sometimes to for right now is to take some bag palm and dab it on the really bad pimples and then put a small circle bandade on it when you go to sleep. It helps absorb and pull out the infection. Bag balm is that stuff you can by in the green tin. http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fei%3DUTF-8%26p%3Dbag%2520balm%2520ointment%26fr2%3Dtab-web%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501-s&w=175&h=175&imgurl=a1061.g.akamai.net%2F7%2F1061%2F5412%2Fhome%2Fwww.walgreens.com%2Fdbimagecache%2F213254.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.walgreens.com%2Fstore%2Fproduct.jhtml%3Fid%3Dprod10744%26amp%3BCATID%3D100951%26amp%3BnavAction%3Dpush%26amp%3BnavCount%3D1&size=37kB&name=213254.jpg&p=bag+balm+ointment&type=JPG&oid=635e7e0bd2cf0c38&no=8&sigr=13cu4cbkr&sigi=12d4gd1nu&sigb=138trv4g3&tt=42
