Why do some mosquito bites itch and others don't?
-
i was camping and now i got a bunch of mosquito bites. some have been driving me nuts. the other ones are almost like they aren't there. why is that? the one that bugs me the most is bigger then the other ones. i don't think i have any type of real bad reaction to mosquitoes because they never get really big. for example they never got to the point where its covering the whole body area. they stop itching after a few days. i just wonder why some itch all day unless i use anti-itch and others don't itch.

When mosquito's bite you they don't bite they inject they needle mouth and release saliva into your skin to stimulate blood so more blood is there to heal the wound caused by the mosquito and the red blood cells swell to help treat the injection and bring more white blood cells to help contain infection. And that is what causes the itching the saliva of the mosquito, and other mosquito's don't release the saliva to get more blood if they are full

I think that maybe if you don't activate them, you don't know they are they. but once they have been itched, they itch the whole time until they heal. That's how it is with me at least!

Mosquito's are in a diffferent species they are in the same family as bats actually and they bite you to take your blood in for food and it is just like that puss comes out and dries up and you scratch it!

Mosquitos inject you with a fluid that keeps the blood from clotting at the bite site while they are drinking. This is what makes the bites itch. The bigger ones means the mosquito got a bigger drink and injected you with more of its fluids. This is also why scratching the bites makes them itch MORE... you spread out the chemical they injected over a larger area (think squishing a wet sponge) and the itch spreads.

They itch because the body is allergic to the bites, that's why they swell and itch. Go buy some after bite, rub it in and you will be fine. Other bites don't bother you because the severity of the bite, maybe it didn't have much chance to bite.
