Is tazorac the same as retin a micro ? does it actually work?

How long does it take for Retin-A to work?

  • Well, I've been using retin-a since November and I haven't seen any improvement with my skin. My orehead cleared up a lot but besides that nothing has really happened. I have blackheads on my nose and after all this time they're still there. I'm going to see my dermatologist in a week and I want to tell him that this isn't working at all. I want another medication but I have mild acne. What are some fast working, doctor prescribed acne medications that work in less than three months?

  • Answer:

Ask him to explain what is going on with your nose. if you still have blackheads then you need a stronger version of Retin A. You may have normal skin there though that Retin A can't change. Everybody has pores and some have pores that are large enough to see the contents of. Retin A makes skin function normally, not superhuman. It can't vacuum out pores of normal contents. Ask if he expects the changes on your nose to improve or if he feels that it is normal and then ask about options.
