Will a bite from an Indiana wolf spider hurt a baby?

• So heres the thing, ive been staying at our guests house because my grandparents are here for a visit.. and every year right before summer we get this guy who exterminates every crawling insect at the house, but this year we skipped the guest house because we figured that no ones gonna stay there anyway... So one morning, i guess like 4-5 days ago i noticed something red on my shoulder, similar to a bite, so obviously i ran as fast as can to the closest mirror to check it and find out wth it is, so i look at it and it seemed like a mosquito bite so as i turn i noticed another 2 small red bites on the back of my right shoulder.. so i cursed that mosquito and went back into the room to continue what i was doing.. the next morning it got larger (even though it was still relatively small) and it kinda hurt, thats when i freaked out and called my mom, her assistant picked up and said shes at a meeting and shes not available so i called the family doctor and told him to come over so he'd take a look at it but apparently hes on a vacation and he'll be back on monday (8/1/11), but he told me to search the room im staying for mosquito's.. and so i did.. but I FOUND A BIG *** WHITE SPIDER with big legs and everything!! so i immediately got the bug spray and sprayed the life out of it.. than i look up and i see some sort of web.. so i got up on the chair and i see 2 BABY SPIDERS ! so i sprayed their ***' too, and i know there must be more so i continued searching and found ANOTHER BABY SPIDER !! at that point i was as paranoid as i can possibly be. my dads not home for at least week so hes useless, my mom wont be home for the next 3-4 hours and that mexican maid is useless as **** because she barely speaks english ! so im alone !! Im still not 100% sure its the spiders who bit me, but im pretty positive ! =\ what should i do ?! is there anything i can do while waiting for the doctor ?! im really freaked out ! HELP !!

• Answer:

  First of all - DON'T PANIC. It's extremely possible that what you have are just inflamed mosquito bites that are probably getting bigger because you keep prodding at them! Try to calm down and keep your mind off it until your mum gets back. Failing that if you just can't help yourself, look at what sort of spiders live in your area online and see if you can identify which one it is and whether it's dangerous to humans or not. And it probably wont be. If you start to feel nauseous or faint, call an ambulance just in case. But again, try not to panic!
