What is the remedy for severe allergies?

What is the best simple natural remedy for itchy legs, not due to shaving or allergies?

• Over the last few days the bottom of my legs and back have started to itch like crazy. Naturally i scratched them and now they are even more itchy because of the scratches made by scratching them. It was not because of shaving or allergies and I do not think that my skin is dry. It is in my family. I didn't eat any thing different. Does anyone know what the cause might be and/or a simple natural home remedy that should cure it? If not, what cream would be best to get?

  A change in weather has that affect of people sometimes. It could be that. I would personally just use a cold face cloth or even "sensitive skin" baby wipes. They will cool it down which in turn should stop the itching.
