Which face wash/cleanser would be great for minor acne?

Does Oregano Oil Work on Acne Scars? And if so, What is the Best Method of Use?

  • I recently bought a 10mL bottle of Hedd Wyn Essentials (?) Pure Wild Oil of Oregano (the one with a dropper) (I bought it at Sigrid's Natural Foods - or something). I heard that it works even better than Tea Tree Oil (which is what I used for about 3 weeks until my the bottle got over). Before I ask my actual question, I would just like you to know exactly what type of acne I have. Please bear with the description, I just want the best possible answer so at least look over it... I'd rather not get info that would be better suited for people who say they "break out", but really have, like, 2 pimples... Just don't ignore it completely, even though you might think, "Why's she writing so much...?" (I don't particularly like describing it, as you won't enjoying reading it either, but I want to be as detailed as possible, sorry) (also, my acne might not sound that severe, but this is how it became after using undiluted Tea Tree Oil) : My skin was fine before Gr. 10; then I only got tiny little bumps; my skin in Gr.11 had a few pimples. Then during my summer trip to India after Gr.11 I broke out on mostly my right cheek. I think it was a mix of my skin not being used to India for some random reason (even though I visit every summer) and the whole "teenager going through puberty" thing, but I'm not sure. In my opinion my acne is between Moderate and Moderately Severe. It's mostly my cheeks (though more concentrated on my right cheek). On my right cheek, my acne is basically at the center of it. Right now, there are about 3 medium sized pimples; quite a few small skin coloured bumps; the rest of the center of my cheek is filled with "almost gone" to "just arrived" acne scars - created from both picking at them and also naturally faded away pimples. On my left cheek, there is one small pimple; a few skin coloured bumps; a few "mostly faded away" acne scars. There are two skin coloured bumps on my chin; two tiny bumps on my right jawline; between my eyes, there are two tiny skin coloured bumps; right above that area is one medium sized pimple; forehead has VERY tiny skin coloured bumps; temple area consists of a few "basically faded away" acne scars. Also, I turned 17 in September of 2011; was born in South India (specifically, in Mangalore - now living in Canada); my diet basically consists of bread or cereal for breakfast; SOMEtimes a rice crispy square for lunch (my stomach gets full REALLY easily, and it's been that way every since I was born... I don't try to diet or anything...); for dinner it's basically Indian food; a fruit after dinner; occasionally ice cream or any other type of treat. I also weigh about 105 lbs (I know it's little, but I don't eat a lot, as I said) and my height is 5'3"-ish (161.5 cm); my skin type is what I like to call "on-again-off-again" dry skin. So now that I've written my massive description, I'll ask my question: My current routine with the Oregano Oil is: After I come home I wash off my foundation - I need to hide my hideousness in public so that no one else has to be scarred by the ugliness of my acne... (The foundation is CoverGirl Natureluxe, SPF 10, shade 355). When I wash off my foundation I use Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash (I bought that while I went back to visit my family in the summer... I'm on my last 100mL tube...). After I wash that off, I take a Q-tip, put it under cold water and then put one drop of the Oregano Oil on it, then apply it to my pimples and little bumps. Then, before I take a shower, I wash my face again with the face wash, then I take 8oz. of water and put 3-4 drops of Oregano Oil (mix it) and then wash my face with it. I do not rinse with water or pat dry. I just leave it to air-dry. Right after, I take a shower and avoid my face. I heard that some people didn't wash their face with any harsh cleansers or soaps (my face wash isn't harsh) for two weeks and apparently that helped, so I don't wash my face during my shower, which at the same time lets my Oregano Oil wash to air-dry. Other than that, I don't really put anything else on my face, especially not in the morning because I'm always THIS close to being late for my bus... After my bottle of Oregano Oil gets over, I plan to use a Rocia (?) Olive Oil Cleansing Cake as a face soap (which I bought from the same store) which apparently helps the acne from internally. I just want to know, is there any specific and better routine that has worked better than mine for you, someone you know, or heard from someone or online? Also, what type of natural face wash would you recommend for my case and is also inexpensive? And, just in case, what moisturizing cream would you recommend for my weird skin type but at the same time won't worsen my acne? And in general: DOES OREGANO OIL WORK WELL??? Thank you for bea

  • Answer:

I'm with the whole google thing. I'm a google head, lol. You can look it up on there can oregano oil work on acne and see what it says. My skin gets very dry sometimes, and sometimes it gets too oily. I believe you are beautiful no need for too much make up I used to wear it all the time now when I leave the house, I don't care what people think. That may cause it too. I had this make up that actually reduced the acne. They have acne clearing make up! :)
