Which face wash/cleanser would be great for minor acne?

HOW do I get RID of ACNE?!?!?!?

  • I want a final solution to cure my acne. I'm getting tired of going to the bathroom and to look at ugly face. In fact, i'm actually scared or terrified to look at my face in the mirror. And when I try to cure my acne, nothing helps. I used Clean & Clear, a bottle that my doctor gave me to cure my acne. (Which never worked) In fact, it takes about a month or two for one single pimple to go away! I want to know what causes acne? What kinds of food causes acne, does sugar or junk food cause acne? Does vegetable oil cause acne, and what kind of foods contain vegetable oil??? What kind of acne products I should use? Also, I want the product to work and I don't want to buy a 100.000 $ cheap acne product that doesn't even work. I want something that is less than 100.000 $ and accurate! I'm desperate for a solution to cure my acne. I want a product that can cure my acne before going back to school in September. I don't want to go back to school looking ugly and having kids making fun of me and constantly staring at me like my older sister (who suffered from acne throughout High school and Middle school and still suffers now) Please give me answers!!! ~

Each person's skin is different, but what has worked for me is: 1. Keeping my face clean (washing whenever I'm feeling kinda nasty/greasy) 2. 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Spot Treatment, applied over the whole face. I wash my face and then put a dime-sized amount on my palm, then just wipe it all over. I've gotten best results with Zapzyt, but that's just my experience. I've heard that starchy products, in particular potatoes (fries, chips, whatnot), contribute a lot to acne, but I have no idea how legitimate the claim was.

Go to a dermatologist. Explain nothing you are using on your skin is working. That will prescribe something stronger. It may be oral or topical. I recommend Duac once daily gel. It is only available behind the counter in Ireland. It really helped to clear my skin but you need to be persistent with it. It also causes some peeling and dryness but you can get over that. You can google it and read about it for yourself. Exfoliation really helps to prevent acne but I wouldn't reccommend it if you are already badly broken out due to inflammation. On a last note, theres not a lot you can due with your diet habits to prevent acne. Some say that iodine may make it worse (seaweed, shellfish). It really just down to hormones.

I'm studying to be a dermatologist. First, I'll tell you what some of the main causes of acne are: Hormones, Stress, Heavy or Oily Make-Up, Diets, Genes, Sweat, Dirt, Oil, Picking, Plucking, and Squeezing, Oil from when Your Hair gets on Your Face, Clogged Pores, Irritation, and Certain Face Washes. Try to avoid those causes and acne won't come back as bad. What you always need in your acne wash is Salicylic Acid. Not very many acne washes have this (surprisingly) except for Clearasil and and Neutrogena. I use Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash and it has definitely worked for me and I noticed a difference in just one week. When you start using a new acne wash, it's a good idea to only use it once a day and gradually increase to two or three times a day. You should wash your face before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning and of course whenever you get sweaty (after sports, work, etc.). After you wash your face, wait 5-15 min. before you put anything on your face. The water could still be on your face or in your pores even if it's not visible, so you have to wait for it to dry. Once you've waited, put Benzoyl Peroxide on your face (can be found in Clearasil Creams). The Benzoyl Peroxide will reduce zit size and redness and prevent acne from coming back in as little as 4 hours. Be careful when you use Benzoyl Peroxide because if it gets in your hair, it could bleach the part it touched. The only good part about it, is that it will bleach facial hairs and make them not as visible. You also should not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you are going out in the sun. If the sun has contact with the Benzoyl peroxide it could bleach your skin and leave a mark. Do not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you have a sunburn on your face because it will dry out the sunburn and cause pealing. It's best if you use the same brand of products. I do not recommend using toners, astringents, or pads. Exfoliaters are not good for your face unless you have really dry skin. If you don't have a lot of dry skin, don't use exfoliaters because it can irritate your acne and cause more acne to appear. Do not pick or pop acne because it will only irritate it and create more acne. Also be sure to stay on a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. Good Luck!!

This may sound weird, but try toothpaste it drys your face out which helps the acne subside. But after it comes off, USE LOTION, so your face doesn't get irritated. Also wash your face everyday with freezing water in the morning and at night.

ok. ur in a crap situation. the first step is to wash your face everyday. dont touch your face unless you have washed your hands. then try Pro-Active. my friend told me it makes your face really dry, and unless you have really bad acne to try it. its not good for you, but im pretty sure it should work. if you dont want to, i use neutrogena face wash for acne prone skin. my face is pretty dry after using it but it seems to work. also Avon products work so you can give them a try. good luck i really hope i have helped

The cause of pimples is unknown. The process by which a pimple develops is highly intricate. While we do know that a pore collapses on itself and blocks sebum (oil) from escaping, we do not fully understand why this process takes place in one sebaceous gland versus another. Causes of adult acne and teen acne may include: hormones, diet, evolutionary biology, vitamin deficiency, stress, and more... The real explanation may be a complex mix of many of these factors. Since we do not know what causes pimples, our time is better spent finding a tested and effective acne system Basically, what you need is more than one product for your acne. There are tons out there to choose from. I would reccomend using one that suits your skin type. Such as, dry, oily, or combination. You need a cleanser to kill the bacteria in your pores, a facial scrub to buff away dead skin cells and black heads/whiteheads etc, a toner, and a good moisturizer. Most Acne products have a line of acne treatments that you can buy in a bundle. Hope this helps.

all i can say is one word- dermatologist. trust me. the people above are correct. I was put on accutane and haven't had a zit since! Do it now please, over the counter stuff works like s*** for people like us, who have (or had!) bad acne for a long time. It wasnt as expensive as i thought it would be to have clear skin for life- about $600 over seven months. May I repeat, i haven't had a zit in a LONG TIME. The money covered the actual medication, dermatologist appointments, blood work appointments (on accutane, you must get blood tests to check your liver and other things), and all of the extra stuff the derm. told me to get. Do it please, you will be VERY SATISFIED. Source(s): I haven't had a zit in forever. Because my skin was so successful, my brother, sister, and TONS of friends have gone to the dermatologist. Everybody who has gone has had major improvement in their skin, if not acne being entirely gone. :) As for yor question about food and drinks that cause break outs, it has nothing to do with it. trust me. i had pretty bad acne from 12-14 and tried to stop eating certain things and it never worked. My entire journey cost about $600, but it was worth every cent. The dermatologist said I shouldn't ever have acne again. It ended accutane at 14.5, and im 15 now and barely ever get a zit.

Hey

get plain yogurt and the juice of a lemon or lime mix it, then apply to your acne then let it sit for an hour then wash off
