Bad rash after flea bites?

Random bug bites, seemingly from nowhere?

  • I've been getting these mysterious bug bites for a little over a month now, but I've never seen a bug anywhere in my house. My room is clean, I clean my sheets and vacuum regularly. I just recently got my carpets cleaned, too, so that's not where they're coming from. I don't think that it's a rash, just because it's usually one tiny spot (looks like a mosquito bite) in a random place, not like a bunch of them in one place. The bites pop up on my wrists, stomach, and legs, places that are all pretty much exposed while I'm sleeping. Also, my sister has also been getting these bites, but my parents haven't (we sleep upstairs while my parents sleep downstairs). We have two cats, but they've both been treated for fleas and wear flea collars. Any idea where these ghost bites could be coming from and how I could get rid of them? They're driving me completely insane and make my skin look really gross.

  • Answer:

spider bites? Bed bugs? scabies? All are possible and none have anything to do with whether you are clean or not. It happens, easier than you think .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug http://www.medicinenet.com/scabies/article.htm http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/bedbugs/ If the bites have a red dot in the center, they ARE flea bites, by the way.

I had the exact same thing a couple months ago. There called "No see ums" Because you cant see them or feel them bite you. It shouldnt bug you, and should go away. But if it keeps happening, then im not completely sure if thats what it is.

Hon, Some bugs are small, however, go to your doctor and ask because he has magnifying glasses and a microscope and other testing abilities. No one here can really answer your question because we can't look at your bites. Only someone who can examine you in person can begin to help you solve this mystery. But, there is an explanation.

Could be bedbugs, they exist and hide really well under your beds, they only pop out at night and are very silent about it. The reason that you don't have many bites is because your probably killed most of them perhaps its time for a bug bomb

Its easy to have bugs in your bed, even if you clean all the time. Are you around any other animals during the day, or places that might have bugs? Maybe you should also ask your doctor or epidurmisist. Happy Holidays, Skylar

Look and see if the bumps are on a hair follicle. If it is you might have foliculitis. It is an infection of the hair follicule. You can wash the areas with (HibiCleans). If it does not go away or gets worse see your doctor.

Sounds like bed bugs they are extremely difficult to kill because they are very hard to find. They feed on you while you are a sleep Then retreat back to the matress or where ever to slumber.

You may have bed bugs. They have been making a big comeback in the states. They may have not moved to your parents room yet. Bed bugs are small and hard to see and they hide in your mattress and are nocturnal.
