Why do I have these weird red bumps on my legs?

Tiny red bumps on legs?

  • i have these small red bumps with like a black dot in the middle (hair). they get a bit worse after shaving. they are just pretty much on my legs and they dont itch nothing they are just really ugly. i want to have smooth pretty legs and my legs... eek my dad dosnt shave his legs and he has these red bumps too. is there any way to get rid of them? i've had these ugly things for a while. they are more in the skin then like pimples and stuff. thanks for the help

  • Answer:

It sounds like they might be ingrown hairs. I often get them on my bikini line when I shave. Be sure to change your razor frequently and use a good shaving cream to reduce irritation. There is also a product that you can buy at the drug store called Bikini Zone. It is a topical cream that you apply after shaving that prevents the bumps. Good luck!

It's possibly keratosis pilaris, a genetic condition resulting in those red or white bumps. They turn up repeatedly and predominantly on upper arms, legs, and the midsection. Scrubbing with a loofah may help, as might using skin lotions with lactic acid, such as Lac-Hydrin Five.

I actually have them too but their on my arms. Those bumps are dry dead skin. You should rub hand cream on them every night they'll get smaller over time.

They must be ingrown hairs you have on your legs. that sucks. I don't think there is anything you can really do to help them but I would suggest going to see a dermatologist.

i recommend you go see a dermatologist, they have lots of great stuff to get rid mostly everything. sounds like eczema, my brother has these and he used some type Rx medication the derm. prescribed. good luck, getting rid of these things. it took him a long time to get rid his issue. even now he still has trouble controlling it.

umm were you born with this? because i used this self-tanner which i had an illergic reaction to that sounds like that and it went away but i had to get meds from the doctor. It could also be that you are shaving with a dull razor or are pushing too hard when you shave. well hope that helped some!
