How can I reduce oily skin on my face?

How can I reduce or eliminate discolored skin on my face?

  • I wash my face twice a day with a mild cleanser and avoid using foundation make-up when not at work. Unfortunately, since puberty I've had horrible skin blemishes (15 years now) and was, at one point, on three doctor prescribed medications to help with acne. Now I'm starting to form dark spots after a new blemish heals. What can I do do avoid the spots? How can I get rid of them once they've formed?

  • Answer:

There is a skin cream called Mederma (generic available) that I've used a lot. I used it on acne scars, minor cuts and scrapes, stretch marks and my C-section scar... and although it doesn't totally make scars dissappear, it works better than anything else I've tried. The scars are barely noticeable and have turned back almost the same color as the rest of my skin, maybe a shade different. It's also safe for sensitive skin... doesn't irritate it and make it you break out more! Hope that helps! Best wishes!

You need to go back to your doctor. If he doesn't have an answer, get a referral to a dermatologist.

Since you have such a history with your skin, you really need to go to the dr and get the proper advice on what you should put on your skin. Do you think that you might need to change your cleanser. Are you spending any time in the sun?
